Looking over the edge, sliding down a steep slope, a country divided, no place for those that are different, seen as less than or not being seen at all: these are the ideas represented in this quilt. Are we at a Tipping Point? Political extremism, the climate crisis, book bans, claims of election fraud, insurrection at our nation's capital, gun violence, the restriction of women's reproductive rights and the reduction of rights for disenfranchised and marginalized people. Music from "The Tipping Point" the 2021 album from the British band, Tears for Fears, was my inspiration.
