This quilt was made for the “Make a Difference” challenge sponsored by the Modern Quilt Guild. As I stand at the ocean’s edge I wonder if mankind is at the edge of no return. Can the fish populations ever be restored? Will the plastic waste washing ashore ever end? Is it too late to insure that the ocean will continue absorbing carbon dioxide and moderating the climate? This quilt represents my view at the edge of the ocean; praying and hoping for a better future.Techniques used to create this quilt include; inset piecing, improv piecing, embroidery and free motion quilting.
