Irene Roderick's class, "Dancing With the Wall" was the inspiration for this composition. She demonstrated numerous construction ideas and this project began as a nonrepresentational piece. Then a curved section near the top sparked a vision of the curved highway in my rural hometown. A water tower and railroads emerged as well. The butterscotch patches represent landmarks such as the hospital where I was born. This abstraction provides many memories.
