Ripple Effect is based on the Cut Glass Dish block with the largest being in the center. The blocks get gradually smaller as they are placed outward both vertically and horizontally. Each block, from largest to smallest contains 60 pieces. The artful coloring and clever border make it seem as though the design is stretching itself to the limit. The offset, spiral quilting builds on the illusion of diagonal stretching.
