This, like many other quilts here I'm sure, was created during the Covid shut down. I needed something fun and happy to occupy my mind, so I started this quilt. I like the simplicity of using only two colors. It takes the decision of which color to use out of the equation, making it in some ways easier, but in other ways harder. With only two colors, the shapes and placement of pieces are critical. This quilt is named Oopsy Daisy because I feel like so many of the pieces are sort of falling into one and other. This quilt was inspired by the work of Irene Roderick. I haven't been fortunate enough to take one of her classes yet, but her work is inspiring. I very much enjoyed adding details in the free motion quilting.
