My first Nancy Crow class was a rollercoaster of emotion and new ideas. When I got home in September 2021, I gave myself the opportunity to digest some of the concepts, while trying to stay true to my own voice. I ended up with 9 fabric sketches that sat in a pile for a year. I finally put them together in one larger quilt and Ohio Nine Patch took shape. My goal in all my work, is to convey humor, musicality and movement. It's unusual for me to work in units and I like the interplay between the large blocks. Sometimes the unexpected happens. Yay for serendipity!
