My youngest son and I drew 100 shapes in 100 boxes on a piece of paper together while in the waiting room at the doctor’s office. Motivated by the 100 Days Project, I began translating the drawings into individual quilt blocks during winter 2021. The variations of off white fabric, tints of peaches and pinks, are all from thrifted bedsheets. I'll never forget the collaborative drawing that inspired this quilt. It is a reminder to me to be present with my children and look for those special moments of connection when they are least expected.
