Northwest Arkansas Modern Quilt Guild Bentonville, Arkansas, United States
My mom's friend Tina Curtis sent me this dyed scrap of fabric. I die cut as many half square triangles as I could then mom helped design a quilt to use them. We didn't have many HSTs so used lots of black. I picked the colors for each star. I did all the sewing and finger pressing. My mom would do the seam ripping if it needed fixed and I would sew again slower. Also mom did most the iron part and rotary cutting, I don't want a burn or cut. The long seams at the end were no fun. I had the most fun quilting lines with the frame with walking foot, I like to go fast and put bumps in. I entered this in my county fair, it was selected and went to Arkansas State Fair. I like big cats so jaguar rainbow fabric for the back.
