Skee-Ball was inspired by a 1979 poster called Coffee Hour by Jacqueline Casey, Massachusetts Institute of Technology. I was plaining to make a much larger quilt, but after making similar version of this for a twin-size bed and quilting it over a period of months, I opted for a smaller version. I adapted Jenny Haynes’ Twice-cut Drunkard’s Path construction method but with whole circles rather than quarters. To cut and trim the shapes and the background curves I used the Clammy 9” template by Latifah Safir. It was quilted on a stationary machine using rulers.
