The challenge fabrics remind me of mid-century travel posters with their clean graphics and hard edge style. With this inspiration instead of an exotic location I stayed close to home. The morning sun reduces the buildings in the alley behind my house to flat planes, angles, & shadows. I edited further to focus on a couple details. Quilt is FPP, machine quilted, and uses all of the challenge fabrics. The quilting created "shadow" houses on the back and I liked that look so much I almost submitted the back instead.
