(FCH013) Orange No. 1

This is the first in a series of orange peel quilts. In this quilt I wanted each color in the palette to shine. Using a traditional orange peel pattern, I grouped the reds and blues to create color blocks on a dynamic black and white background. The pieced binding frames the edges of the quilt and helps create balance between the black and white sections. I quilted this on my domestic machine matching the thread to the background colors.
