My design for the Windham Ruby + Bee Fabric Challenge uses color saturation and proportion to create a sense of dimension. The brighter fabrics and larger shapes come forward while the smaller forms and duller colors recede. The composition consists of an overall repeating pattern with each detailed figure individually made to be unique and expressive. The distinct shapes along with the zig zag design and sense of depth give an energetic feel.
