A study in tiny curve piecing inspired by the Snake Trail quilt pattern by Denyse Schmidt. The snakes are made up of approximately 800 pieces of fabric split across 149 arcs and machine pieced together. Each arc's curves are hand sewn, the inner arc is a 1/2" quarter circle and the outer arc is a 1" quarter circle. Once constructed by hand, the blocks were then pieced together and quilted on my domestic machine. It was both a challenge in tiny curved piecing and an exploration of colour.
