This design began from a workshop by Lucy Engels on insert concentric circles. Her technique uses the remnants to create even more circles, and suddenly I had a lot! The individual circle blocks were improvisationally pieced together to create a gradient from neutral to vibrant. Together the circular forms reminded me of colorful personality auras, and the layers of energy radiating from a person. The quilting lines reflect that idea of energy radiating out, responding and connecting with each other.
