The Fan Palm Quilt was inspired by my office plant menagerie and travels among the beautiful Hawaiian Islands. To achieve the spinning effect, I created an equilateral triangle layout and divided the palm fronds in halves along the three triangle edges. I free-hand quilted straight lines to highlight the geometric layout. Geometry, nature, science :)
