I'm good at avoiding pink, so when this bundle of fat quarters arrived from Tara Faughnan's Color Collective 4, I was flummoxed at first. Then I became determined to use it to meet and conquer my aversion to pink. Freehand cutting on the diagonal set me loose, and I began to enjoy myself! The assembled blocks remind me of jacks, a game I played long ago. I can still feel those metal X s in my hand, and see the little rubber ball bouncing high. Once pieced, I thought a little bling would dress it up for QuiltCon's Tenth Birthday party!
