(MDT025) Avalanche

This is one of three quilts I produced for a 2022 exhibition called 'The Before Times' at the Wangaratta Art Gallery in Victoria, Australia, which was curated by Tara Glastonbury (@stitchandyarn). Each quilt uses a limited palette – with each pair of quilts sharing at least three colours – and a single shape. Avalanche uses only triangles – in the form of quarter-rectangle triangles (QRTs) and half-rectangle triangles (HRTs). It is based on a quilt design that I created in September 2019 (#166 in my series of Sunday sketches).
