This quilt was made during a workshop with Maria Shell where we were challenged to make a modern design from a traditional quilt block. I chose the “square inside a square” block and decided to experiment with alternating warm and cool colors to see if a depth effect would result. The visual impact of this quilt surprised even me. It’s trippy!
