Playing with the idea of the traditional Celtic (or Gordian) knot quilt, I redesigned the layout in a way that felt more modern and used bright neons on a charcoal linen-cotton to create a dramatic contrast of color and texture. Following the bright lines of the design all the way through their progression around the quilt was mesmerizing and I wanted to emphasize that with geometric quilting using fluorescent threads.
