This quilt is titled “Cube Squared and measures 66 inches square. The concept for this quilt was to make a giant sized replica of the small squares that are the foundation of the design. I hope that makes sense, like a square inside a square inside a square. To get Cube Squared started, I striped pieced together 225, 4 inch blocks using Northcott’s premium solids called Colorworks. From darkest to lightest the colours are Scarlet, Watermelon, Coral and Make Me Blush! I did the long arm quilting on my Bernina Q24, using hand guided rulers to create the orange peel motif and the piano key quilting around the border. Cheers, Peter Byrne.
