A five week trip to the US expanded to 11 months when our beautiful daughter was diagnosed with Colon Cancer just as Covid took over our lives. This quilt was hand pieced in Los Angeles during her chemo treatment, embellished during hotel quarantine upon my return to Australia, and quilted as news of our daughter requiring further surgery reached our ears. Every stitch was made with overwhelming concern for the health of our daughter weighing heavily on my heart.
