Participating in Central Florida MQG’s 2022 Architectural Challenge - choosing a building or architectural feature as inspiration for a quilt - Elemental is my interpretation of the Miami Children’s Museum. The museum’s architecture firm designed and painted the building to reflect “elements of the world: earth, wind, water, and fire.” This was my first attempt using a variety of thread weights while ruler quilting on my domestic sewing machine.
