(MIN023) No 35 Collage - Egg and Spoon Race

This quilt started life as a paper collage which I always wanted to follow through into a fabric quilt. Once I had added the spoon cut out it naturally took on the look of a egg and spoon race at school. The initial design measured an 8” square this was grossed up to a 49” square. The red line was originally just a stitch line on paper but I wanted to bring this in as a focal point. The quilting was beautifully executed by Christine Perrigo and really lifts the design to another level.
