Concentric squares, rectangles and circles give this little log cabin a modern vibe. The layout is more complicated than it looks. The starting square is split in half diagonally and is actually not in the center as a traditional log cabin. In order to maintain the pattern, there are sashing strips surrounding each block. It was foundation pieced and quilted on a stationary machine.
