Cabin Sunrise explores color and value. I challenged myself to make a rainbow quilt that contained washed out and desaturated hues. The resulting blocks were flipped into random orientations such that the colors could play off of each other to add visual interest. A Baptist fan quilting pattern was used to compliment the classic log cabin block while also representing a rising sun.
