During the lockdown of the 2020-2022 pandemic, conversations and relationships underwent drastic changes. The importance of social interactions became clear as we were only seeing each other on Zoom or through doors and windows. As the isolation grew into two years, it became the norm. Once the world opened up again and we started getting out, I started a series of quilts that I call "Conversations." I wanted to document types of personal interactions that we had so sorely missed. “Kiss” is about intimate relationships that may have been put on hold or became difficult or became stronger. When I think of a kiss, I think of pleasure and commitment and affection.
