During a stressful year when I was relocating across the country, hand-stitching these meditative improv curves and grids helped me to stay grounded. The design is energized by complementary elements - warm/cool colours, light/dark values, positive/negative space. The dark, angular frame anchors and contrasts with the flowing curves. A dark triangle leads the eye to the right; magenta accents create an opposing flow. Big stitch hand quilting generates unifying texture. The work in progress could travel anywhere - I learned to go with the flow.
