When I first saw a pickle dish block, I knew it was something I wanted to work with. I always saw the blocks butted up against each other, but wanted to play with the space between the blocks, to see what new shapes could be created. Though I hope to sew a larger version of this pattern some day, I love the small size of this quilt as an opportunity to highlight the shapes in the block with hand quilting, giving it amazing texture.
