I designed this quilt as part of my geometric mosaic quilt series. This is a take on Egyptian Tile work using an isometric grid. I love the way the pattern moves across the quilt top. I chose the name The Pleiades because of the Seven sisters that were daughters of Atlas. They were pursued by Orion the Hunter. Zeus put them in the night sky to protect them.
