The expression "Words Fail Me" used to convey unspeakable surprise or shock. Now, as social media enable the wide dissemination of falsehoods disguised as facts, words fail us as an effective means of communication. And we may be dismayed, but we are no longer surprised. As my quilt illustrates, the letters that spell "Words Fail Me,' can also spell "Lies" and "False." I pieced and marked my quilt intuitively using new and recycled silk fabrics.
