Shattered is the exploration of the traditional hourglass block in conjunction with the concept of time and space. It started with an hourglass block challenge among fellow designers. In working with the hourglass block, it made me think of a sandglass and the concept of time. I took the idea further, and overlapped the layers of multiple hourglass blocks, ignoring the laws of physics when layering the different hourglass blocks. The end effect is that of time shattered, of time that ignores the normal concepts and creates its own reality.
