My goal when I designed this quilt was to create a minimalistic design with a diagonal orientation and room for showcasing hand quilting with contrasted thick threads. The fabric choices, both for colour and type, were mostly guided by the threads I had planned to use for the hand stitches. The machine quilting is a mix of straight lines and grids with different spacing, complemented with hand stitches using a neon sashiko thread and a perle cotton.
