I frequently visit art museums and am inspired by geometric abstract art, especially from the Constructivist movement, The painting that inspired this quilt is part of the Adolpho Leirner Collection of Brazilian Constructive Art acquired by the Museum Of Fine Arts Houston between 2005 and 2007. The painting by Samson Flexor is titled Geométrico II (1952). I used this exercise of recreating a painting in fabric to improve my quilt math and Procreate skills.
