This quilt is loosely based on the Surrealist artist’s game Exquisite Corpse where each artist creates a part of the composition and hides their work except for a connector point where the next artist adds their part of the composition to the connector. Once all parts are complete, the entire composition is revealed. For this quilt, I gave each block contributor the 1” location to the straight line connector points for each 9” block, choice of any solid color magenta and yellow and the connector must be in Kona Cosmos. Each contributor designed their own block using any piecing technique of their choice and designed the connector within the block. Once all the blocks were collected, I created a vertical pattern with the connectors and an hombre affect from the top left corner to the bottom right corner of the quilt.
