Efflorescent Midnight started as a prompt (to my bee mates in Bee Sewcial) of miniature florals in bright jewel tones with a dark background of navy or black. I asked for bits of hand embroidery on the flowers if my bee mates chose to do so (most did and I added embroidery to the blocks that didn’t have any). There isn’t a deep meaning to this quilt, it just celebrates the love of flowers, embroidery and an electric color scheme.
