Margo Kunez, RN, CDP, is a a registered nurse who has been involved in post-acute and long term care for the past 35 years (1987 to present). Her focus in the past 22 years has been assisted living and currently is the owner and RN Consultant for AL Consulting specializing in assisted living and other post-acute settings providing clinical and managerial assistance, regulatory compliance, orientation of new resident care directors, education, policy and procedure development and revision. Ms. Kunez is on the national board of directors of the American Assisted Living Nurses Association (AALNA) where she serves as Secretary /Treasurer and is also treasurer of the New Jersey Chapter of AALNA. She serves on the AMDA/PALTC DEI committee and several other committees engaged in mental health availability, hygiene issues and other topics specific to assisted living. Ms. Kunez's articles have been published multiple times in professional journals such as the Geriatric Nursing Journal and as aco-author to articles in JAMDA and has presented to the NJ chapter of NADONA, The American Geriatric Society and the National Institute of Health. She holds certifications in Dementia Care, CDP and have achieved MoCA certification as well.
