Nadim El Chakhtoura, MD, MPH, graduated from the American University of Beirut School of Medicine in his native Lebanon in 2008, and completed his internal medicine residency and infectious disease fellowship at CWRU in Cleveland. He later pursued an Advanced Geriatrics fellowship through the Cleveland Veterans Affairs Northeast Ohio Healthcare System (Cleveland VANEOHS) Geriatrics Research Education and Clinical Center and the Community Living Centers, in conjunction with graduating with a master’s in public health (MPH) at Case Western Reserve University in 2017. Following graduation, he joined the acute medicine section at the Cleveland VANEOHS and faculty at CWRU and currently serves as the Medical Director of the VANEOHS CLC, a 110-bed post-acute care facility for the Cleveland VA. His areas of interest are antimicrobial resistance and stewardship, as well as the care of older adults in post-acute and long-term care settings.
