Dr. Maribel Rodríguez-Gonzalez is an American Board-Certified Geriatric Medicine physician at Conviva Care Center in Delray Beach, Florida. She is also an Associate Professor of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine. She teaches geriatric medicine fellows at the outpatient setting and nursing homes. She completed a Geriatric Medicine Fellowship at Florida Atlantic University in West Palm Beach Veteran Affairs Medical Center. She completed her Family Medicine training at Manatí Medical Center in Puerto Rico and earned her medical degree at the University of Medicine and Health Sciences in Saint Kitts. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Human Biology at the University of Puerto Rico. Before becoming a Family Medicine Resident, she completed a one-year Transitional Residency at Damas Hospital in Puerto Rico where she experienced global training in different areas of the medical field. At that moment, she gained the necessary knowledge in patient care and management, making her passionate in becoming a family primary care physician and geriatrician. Dr. Rodríguez-Gonzalez enjoys educating, promoting care, knowing her patients and establishing a kind doctor-patient relationship. For her, it is important to get to know patients well and provide individualized care. She has served in many voluntary community activities such as free health fairs during 5K Runs and educating about blood pressure management in supermarkets. She appreciates being updated with the newest evidence-based medicine. She enjoys attending paint lesson sessions and traveling and, she likes spending her free time with her family, friends, and dog.
