Nancy Kusmaul, PhD, MSW, is an Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. She practiced social work in nursing homes and hospitals for more than a decade. Dr. Kusmaul’s research focuses on organizational culture, trauma informed long term care organizations, and the impacts on residents and direct care workers. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, the Gerontological Society of America, and the Baltimore County Elder Abuse Coalition. Dr. Kusmaul is a board member of the Association for Gerontology Education in Social Work, and is the Book, Media, and Resource Review Editor for the Journal of Gerontological Social Work.
