Health & Safety

AMDA is committed to providing a safe environment for all meeting attendees. We will continue to review the latest Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines as well as industry best practices in regard to COVID-19. Because these factors are frequently changing, we will update this page as new guidance is released.

AMDA strongly recommends that all attendees be vaccinated and up to date with all boosters for which they are eligible. AMDA also encourages attendees to use masks in all PALTC23 sessions and space when not actively eating or drinking. Attendees should bring their own high-quality masks to wear while participating.

The Tampa Convention Center is a GBAC Star Facility Accredited facility that follows all enhanced cleaning and safety measures. Additional information on GBAC Star Accreditation can be found here.  Hand sanitizer will be available to all conference participants throughout the convention center.

COVID-19 Waiver and Commitment

Registrants must commit to the COVID-19 Waiver and Commitment during the registration process. By registering, attending, or participating in this educational activity, you agree to the COVID-19 Waiver and Commitment:

  1. I understand that attendance at indoor conferences, meetings, and events may involve a risk of exposure to COVID-19, and I knowingly assume that risk.
  2. On behalf of myself as well as my family and heirs, I hereby release from liability, and waive all claims against AMDA, its officers, directors, and employees for any harm, injury, and damage of any nature suffered by me should I contract COVID-19.
  3. I will comply with all applicable health and safety laws and directives, as well as any guidelines of AMDA, the meeting venues (convention center, hotels, etc.), and meeting jurisdictions (cities, states, etc.), that may be in effect or modified from the time of my registration up through the end of the educational activity, which may include adjustments to vaccination, face covering, and physical distancing requirements.
  4. I will not attend the event if, within 10 days of the start of the event, I test positive for or experience any symptoms of COVID-19.
Any updates regarding AMDA’s COVID-19 safety protocols will be communicated to all registrants via email as well as posted here on the conference website. Please check back frequently between now and the event in March.

Guests of Attendees

Registered guests must follow the same health requirements as conference attendees. Only registered guests of registered attendees may enter the meeting space. No unregistered guests or children of registered attendees will be allowed to enter the meeting space. We encourage unregistered spouses and family members to enjoy their time together in Tampa in areas outside the PALTC23 meeting space.

Thank you for abiding by these guidelines as we work toward a healthier future together.
