Shara M. Dellatore is a Director at Merck & Co., Inc. in the Department of Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacodynamics, and Drug Metabolism (PPDM). She currently leads the Regulated Vaccines Immunogenicity group, overseeing the measurement of immunological responses to vaccination in preclinical and clinical studies across Merck’s vaccine and oncolytic virus portfolio. In addition to Vaccines development, Shara brings expertise in Biologics development for mAbs, biosimilars, and bioconjugates. Shara is passionate about developing talent who embrace and thrive in a dynamic and continuous learning culture. Shara’s current research interests are focused in the areas of viral tissue distribution and viral shedding. She earned a B.S. in Chemical & Biological Engineering from Tufts University of Medford, MA and a Ph.D. in Chemical & Biological Engineering from Northwestern University, Evanston, IL.
