Jeff Simmons is the Senior Vice President of the combined companies of Worldwide Express/GlobalTranz/Unishippers. Prior to the merger with Worldwide Express in July 2021, he served as the Chief Legal Officer of GlobalTranz. Before joining Globaltranz in March 2016, Jeff spent 30 years in private practice, representing motor, rail, ocean and air carriers, as well as brokers, before courts, regulatory agencies and in contract negotiations.
He completed his one-year term as President of the Transportation Lawyers Association in May 2020 and is a past Chairman of the Conference of Freight Counsel.
While in private practice, Jeff was named in the Best Lawyers in America® in the field of Transportation Law and in Southwest Super Lawyers ® in the area of Transportation/Maritime Law. In 2014, he received the Transportation Lawyers Association’s Distinguished Service Award. Jeff received First Chair’s Top General Counsel Award in 2017.
Jeff is a 1983 graduate of Georgetown University and a 1986 graduate of the University of Arizona College of Law.
