Endourology Fellow
Dr. M. Reza Roshandel is a urologist currently undergoing fellowship training, with a strong commitment to advancing the field through surgical innovation, clinical excellence, and academic leadership. From 2015 to 2019, he served as an attending urologist, consultant, and chief medical officer in his home country, performing a wide range of open and endoscopic procedures. He also earned board certification in urology during this time and provided surgical care as a consultant in a marginalized rural region—an experience that sharpened both his clinical skills and leadership capabilities.
Motivated by a desire to further elevate his practice, Dr. Roshandel embarked on a journey across the United States to engage with leading urology programs. He has actively participated in advanced training courses, skill-building workshops, and urology fellowships at prominent institutions including New York Medical College, Mayo Clinic (Minnesota), Mount Sinai Hospital (New York), Maimonides Medical Center, and the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC). These immersive experiences enhanced his expertise in minimally invasive and robotic surgery, while also expanding his exposure to high-level clinical research and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Dr. Roshandel recently completed an Endourological Society-accredited fellowship and is currently further specializing in robotic-assisted urologic oncology. His comprehensive background—which includes hands-on surgical training, clinical practice, and research—positions him uniquely to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of urologic care.
Looking forward, Dr. Roshandel remains focused on mastering robotic surgical techniques, improving patient outcomes, and driving innovation in the field. His ongoing dedication to excellence, research, and collaboration reflects his commitment to making a lasting impact in urology.
