Dr. Victor Canela joined the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Butler University in 2022. His research focuses on kidney stone disease in collaboration with Dr. James C. Williams in the Department of Anatomy, Cell Biology & Physiology at the Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Canela’s research interests include the development of Randall’s plaque and ductal plugs, as well as the histopathological changes in the renal papilla associated with stone formation.
