Marco Bandini, MD, PhD, FEBU, is a consultant urologist at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University Hospital, Milan, with expertise in genitourinary reconstructive and rare GU oncology. He completed his urology residency at San Raffaele Hospital and pursued advanced international fellowships in reconstructive urology at the Sava Perović Foundation (Belgrade, Serbia), Centro Chirurgico Toscano (Arezzo, Italy), and the Kulkarni Endo-surgery Institute (Pune, India), focusing on urethral reconstruction, hypospadias surgery, penile surgery, and complex urethral strictures.
Dr. Bandini holds a PhD in Molecular Medicine and has extensive research training in urologic oncology, biomarkers, and outcomes research, including a research fellowship at CR-CHUM (Montreal, Canada). His clinical and scientific activity spans reconstructive urology, prostate, bladder, and rare GU cancers, with a particular interest in multimodal treatment strategies and risk prediction models.
He is the author of over 180 PubMed-indexed peer-reviewed publications, including first- and senior-author contributions in high-impact urological and oncological journals. He serves as a reviewer for leading international journals and is actively involved in international collaborative research groups.
Dr. Bandini is a Fellow of the European Board of Urology and a member of major urological societies, including the AUA, EAU, ESGURS, and ISORU. He is also a member of the EAU Young Academic Urologists Penile and Testis Cancers Working Group and has been recognized with multiple international awards for clinical research excellence. In 2025, he obtained the Italian National Scientific Qualification as Associate Professor in Urology.
