Faizan Khawaja is a M4 medical student at the University of Iowa, Carver College of Medicine. Prior to medical school, Faizan was a research coordinator with the Department of Urology at Northwestern University where he worked on projects ranging from PET/MRI for the staging of high-grade prostate cancer to the transition to adult care for pediatric patients with Spina Bifida. Recently, his research interests have included longitudinal outcomes for patients with suprapubic catheters for chronic bladder disease and surgical techniques in SPT placement. He will be starting his Urology residency at Wash U in St. Louis this summer.
