Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital
Dr. Shirin Razdan is the Director of Miami Robotic Surgery at the Comprehensive Urologic Surgery
Institute as well as the Co-Program Director of the Endourology Fellowship Program at Palmetto General
Hospital. She is a fellowship-trained robotic surgeon and urologist who specializes in both oncologic and
benign urology. She completed medical school at the Miller School of Medicine at University of Miami
before moving to New York City for a competitive urologic residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at
Mount Sinai Hospital. During her residency she completed a junior fellowship in prosthetic surgery,
performing over 200 penile implant and sling operations for treatment of erectile dysfunction and
urinary incontinence. She then completed a one-year fellowship in urologic oncology and robotic
surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital before moving back to Miami.
Dr. Razdan’s clinical interests are kidney cancer, prostate cancer, kidney stones, enlarged prostate,
erectile dysfunction, and urinary incontinence. In addition to her surgical expertise, Dr. Razdan also has
a robust research background, with over 50 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals, book
chapters, and presentations in national academic conferences. Her research covers the gamut of
optimizing techniques for better outcomes in robotic prostatectomy and penile implant surgery, as well
as outcomes for single port robotic surgery. She has an interest in new technologies in the diagnosis and treatment of various urologic conditions.
