Chiara Re, MD, is a resident in Urology at IRCCS San Raffaele University Hospital in Milan, Italy. She held a research fellowship in renal cancer at Cambridge University Hospitals in Cambridge, in the United Kingdom, with a special interest in prediction models. As an active member of national and international urological Societies, she is author of numerous publications in peer reviewed journals and is largely involved in multicenter trials in bladder and renal cancer. Dr Re is a clinical and research collaborator of the Von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) Programme at San Raffaele Hospital, unique VHL Clinical Cancer Center in Italy. Her main research interests focus on urologic oncology, especially in early detection and treatment of localised and advanced urological malignancies with both a translational and clinical approach. Currently, the goal of her research is to improve diagnosis and management of patients with hereditary and sporadic renal cancer.
