Emma is an incoming third year M.D. candidate at California Northstate University College of Medicine in Sacramento, CA. In 2021, she completed her bachelor’s degree at UCLA in biology with a minor in classical civilization.
She is currently collaborating with UCLA Urology and the UCLA Center for Women’s Pelvic Health on projects regarding urinary tract infections, treatment and diagnostic guidelines, and health equity. She also works as a research assistant for the UCLA Biological Anthropology of Motherhood Lab studying the effects of reproductive life history on the risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease.
Her present interests outside of research include health policy and advocacy as part of organized medicine, bringing patient-led health care to people experiencing homelessness in the Sacramento area, and teaching anatomy to elementary school students.
