Trina Fullard, MA, CCS, LCAS graduated from Washington and Jefferson College with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and received her master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Maryland, College Park. She is credentialed with the North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Practice board as a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist and Certified Clinical Supervisor.
Trina’s passion for adolescent care led to her practicum experience at the Marriott Foundation - Bridges Project in Washington D.C. There she assisted adolescents facing disabling challenges with finding employment upon graduation from high school. Her passion for assisting individuals battling substance use disorder was launched by her first clinical experience at Greenbriar Treatment Center in Washington, PA. She credits the process by which she was specifically trained to facilitate group for the population to the team that welcomed her despite her lack of experience with substance use disorder diagnoses. Trina moved to Charlotte in 1997 and began working at the McLeod Addictive Disease Center. She held several positions, all increasing in responsibility over a 21- year career. Her time at McLeod prepared her for her current role at Charlotte Rescue Mission, where she serves as the Chief Program Officer. She oversees clinical programming for Rebound, Dove’s Nest, and Recovery Living Programs, as well as information systems and health information infrastructure.
She has been active in various community engagements including, Mecklenburg County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council, Central Piedmont Community College Human Services Advisory Committee, North Carolina Juvenile Services Association Board, and Police Activities League Planning Committee. Currently, she is a member of the ASAM Fundamentals of Addiction Medicine Planning Committee. She enjoys sports and traveling to various destinations across the world with her husband and three young adult children.
